Resumo

Ultimamente, a exploração sexual de menores tornou-se uma questão violenta para várias nações do mundo. O país vizinho do sul da Ásia, o Afeganistão, vê uma incidência perturbadora de casos de exploração sexual, cuja prática intitulada? Bacha Bazi? atraiu ampla atenção e críticas de todos os setores. Nesta prática de "Bacha Bazi", os meninos são feitos para se vestir com roupas femininas e se maquiar, sexualizados e subsequentemente, em muitos casos, forçados ao comércio de carne. A prostituição e a escravidão desses jovens se tornaram galopantes. Neste artigo, as razões para a exploração sexual de menores foram encontradas em geral, e o ressurgimento da prática de Bacha Bazi no Afeganistão, em particular. O papel do Talibã na abolição de Bacha Bazi foi detalhado, assim como o regime pós-talibã da ilegalidade foi descrito, o que se tornou uma das principais razões para o florescimento dessa prática depravada. O papel do tabu da homossexualidade no Afeganistão conservador no florescimento de Bacha Bazi foi discutido. Finalmente, a falta de vontade da comunidade internacional de lutar contra Bacha Bazi foi abordada e foram apresentadas sugestões para a eliminação dessa prática depravada. No entanto, admitiu-se por estudiosos de direitos humanos notáveis ​​que tal prática é muito difícil de abolir na vida prática, mesmo que ameaça desafiar os fundamentos básicos dos direitos humanos e da civilização no século XXI.
