Abstract
This paper gives a global approach about the conception of the judicial independence based in the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court from Colombia, regarding various aspects of this jurisprudence, such as its content, their scope, its relation with equality within the law and its character as the last possible warranty of rights, in a study that review the jurisprudential production of the Court between 1994 and 2007.
