Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyze from the geopolitical codes’ perspective the context and
development of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine between 1991 and 2022. To reach this
aim, it will be used the concept of geopolitical codes, since it is a framework that can operationalize the confluence of factors, causes and players involved in this conflict. The methodological basis of this article is the study case method. It can help to understand the process that led to this outcome, traced from the initial conditions.
